The Yarrows Taranaki Cycle Challenge has become one of New Zealand's premier road cycle events with over 2000, competitive and recreational cyclists enjoying the day. This event is always held on the Auckland/Bay of Plenty Anniversary weekend.
 

This year the event really lived up to the word Challenge and the wind conditions meant it was a pretty tough day out there, however, the weather could have been a lot worse. Well done everyone who took part and a big thankyou to all of you who participated in the 2011 event. We have had excellent feedback about how well the cyclists kept to the road rules. Thank you to all the sponsors, helpers on the course and all the people behind the scenes that help make this event run so smoothly. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2012.
